Hello Child Support Directors,
I hope you and your families are all well during this most unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. Many have been inquiring about getting waivers for the non-federal share required in our grants.
Sue Smith received the below correspondence from Melissa Johnson today.
Thank you for the call today. OCSE has received a few inquiries on waivers of non-federal due to emergency situations. I anticipate guidance to be forthcoming on this issue soon. Once that issues, I plan to offer a webinar for all tribal directors to go over the guidance and answer any questions.
I’ll provide details for the date and time as soon as I know when the guidance makes its successful run through clearance.
Take care, Melissa
Just wanted to make everyone aware that guidance is forthcoming.
Thank you all so much. Stay safe and well!
Trina

Trina and Sue thank you for sharing with us. Inquiring minds have been wondering. 😉
Just in case you didn’t get the information for the conference call on Thursday.
Dear Director:
Yesterday OCSE notified you of a new COVID-19 FAQ webpage. We want to point out the Tribal section on the page that specifically addresses non-federal share waiver requests under 45 CFR 309.130(e)(1)(ii). We know many of you have questions on submitting a waiver request. We will hold a webinar on April 30, 2020, at 2:00 pm Eastern to go over the required application items and take any questions you may have. You are welcome to submit questions ahead of time to the tribal team mailbox at OCSE.Tribal@acf.hhs.gov by close of business on April 29.
