Request For Information (RFI) from ACF

This came out in the Federal register today; responses may be submitted through March 10, 2017:

This Request for Information (RFI) seeks recommendations for future work with and on behalf of American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) leadership, tribes, tribal organizations, and populations in accord with ACF’s vision of “children, youth, families, individuals, and communities who are resilient, safe, healthy, and economically secure.”

The purpose is to identify issues and challenges facing AI/AN populations as well as to inform ACF of tribes’ and tribal organizations’ recommendations, promising practices, and innovations to address the needs of AI/AN children, youth, families, and communities. This information may, in turn, be used by ACF in the development of future rulemaking and technical assistance, formation of legislative proposals and research agendas, and strategic planning in consultation with tribes.

  1. I saw that and was wondering if NTCSA and NATCSD were going to respond based on our prior discussions. I think it would be a good idea. I am working with our Tribal Attorney right now to respond on behalf of Fort Belknap.

  2. Yeah Sis, I’m putting it here for our Director’s group to comment on and maybe Amber can also encourage dialogue. If there is something for NATCSD to make a group statement on we have approximately 60 days.
