Match Waiver Request: letter to request reconsideration – please review and respond by January 11, 2017

After the conference call with the Commissioner last week, it was decided that that NATCSD would send a letter to the Acting Assistant Secretary requesting a reconsideration of the anticipated blanket denial of our waiver requests.  A draft of that letter is attached in the link below.  Please review and comment and vote yes or no as whether or not we should send it off. Given the time restraints, I would like to get it in the mail as soon as possible – and no later than the end of next week.

Thanks everyone!  Hope you all had a great holiday break!

  1. The Nez Perce Tribe did send our match waiver letter the end of last week with our specific issues with the match added. Sorry so late but we were kind of waiting for response but it was sent.

  2. i vote to send as soon as possible.
I would like to have considered the adding of the reasonable value of the other tribal programs and entities that contribute to the programming and success of services to clients, with their contribution of materials and services.
Also, that our list is not all inclusive of available tribal resources.

  3. Letter-for-reconsideration-of-waiver-denial looks GREAT! Please forward on!

  4. Thank you everyone for your speedy replies! The letter is ready to go in the mail, express delivery, today. The only change from the original is that I incorporated Sue’s suggestions.

  5. Good evening,

Thank you for providing the opportunity for us to vote on whether or not to send this letter. At this time, we do not have the proper authority to cast a vote. Thank you.
